Explanation :
The Kheda Satyagraha of 1918 in the Kheda district of Gujarat, India, during the period of the British Raj, was the third Satyagraha movement inspired by Mohandas Gandhi and was a major revolt in the Indian independence movement. It was the third Satyagraha movement after Champaran Satyagraha and the Ahmedabad mill strike. Gandhi organised this movement to support peasants of the Kheda district. It was women of Bardoli who bestowed the title of ‘Sardar’ on Vallabhbhai Patel during the Bardoli Satyagraha of 1928. ‘Sardar’ in Gujarati and most Indian languages means Chief or Leader. Hence statements 1 and 2 are incorrect.
